New holiday apartments are under-construction in a phased construction programme in rural France. The apartments form a substantial part of the Chateau de la Cazine masterplan. The characterful modern architectural language is a contemporary take on the traditional vernacular, with luxury features such as large format glazing with view to the spectacular landscape, high thermal performance, air-source-heat-pumps, generous spacious interiors, large external terraces and the finest finishes.
The layout and orientation presents plentiful variation of spaces in a sequence of buildings arranged over a steeply sloping terrain with features that borrow from historic French villages, such as covered walkways, stone steps, belvederes and leafy piazas. The landscape is integral and the new village flows through a series of distinct outdoor spaces for enjoying the great outdoors.
