ESTUARY VIEW
CONTRACT VALUE: £3 MILLION
CLIENT: SPECULATIVE DEVELOPMENT
LOCATION: CORNWALL
CONTRACT PERIOD: 2017 - PRESENT
This new modern terrace replaces the existing low quality, low performance late twentieth century house with 8 new contemporary houses each of 125m2, totalling 1000m2.
Each 3-bed, 3-bath property has its own courtyard, terrace, parking space and estuary views. There is a private shared courtyard with waterfeature, trees and seating area, as well as shared garden.
The gentle sloping topography presents an opportunity for a split level internal layout bringing in light to filter right through each house and a contemporary feel to the sequence of spaces. From east to west each house drops in level by 0.5m in relation to the previous dwelling, each stepping away to the western boundary. The views are some of the most spectacular in the country and each house has estuary views in living, dining, terrace areas and 2 of 3 bedrooms.
Crucially the proposed development does not impede views from the adjacent uphill neighbouring apartment building that enjoys the same stunning views. The proposal appears modest as it nestles into the natural gradient of the land, each home stepping down to work with the contours.
New landscaping provides sensitive screening and a leafy green coastal haven for future occupants.
