This 46 unit holiday resort is set against the backdrop of a secluded hillside, above a magnificent stretch of Cornwall’s South Coast near Polperro in the UK. The design of Phase 2 of the masterplan, the holiday units and the pool building were carried out Mador Architects, with planning awarded in 2010.
The plan of the resort, located on a former holiday caravan site, was designed with a variety of 3 bedroomed detached units arranged informally around a communal garden and freshwater pool. The minimalist character of the architecture uses a local palette of vertical timber boarding with some natural stone and zinc roofs. The residences feature spacious interiors and large external terraces optimising the experience the spectacular views and outdoor living.
Following the success of the project, Mador Architects was commissioned for Phase 3, with an additional four luxury units.
